Default 4L80E Converter not Unlocking

looking for input or suggestions:

Car will get up to cruise speed and get into lock up but when I hit the brake the converter is not unlocking. The brake switch input does change when I hit the pedal but the scanner still shows TCC Enable as "yes" and it doesn't unlock until I get down to low speed almost stopped (and the car bucks a little).

I also noticed that even in manual 3rd the converter is still locking. Is this normal? I was thinking that manual 3rd did not allow that. Like if I drop it into third and want to make a hit the converter should unlock but instead it stays engaged.

Car is a 2000 TA. 4L80E is stock with exception of trans-go shift kit and aftermarket converter.
I don't know if it has been doing this since the swap or not. Maybe it has and I just never noticed it. Car typically drives fine other than the bucking when coming to a stop.
Although a few days ago, after a short WOT hit, it would not go into lockup. Then drove fine next day.
Since the swap, I did notice the converter not always unlocking when i'd get on the brakes after a WOT pass and shift it back into D4. Would make a pretty big clunk/bang going back into D4 if the converter stayed locked; if it unlocked it would go into D4 smoothly. Didn't think much of it. Till other day when it wouldn't go into OD after that WOT hit.
I should add, when I looked at the scanner yesterday, I did a WOT pass and then came almost to a complete stop before the converter unlocked AND the brake switch was showing off even though I was on the brakes. This prompted me to change the brake light switch.
Test drove again today and for the first couple miles the converter would unlock with brake input. Then for several more miles it would not unlock at all with brake input unless I slowed way down.

Apologies if this thread is confusing or out of order and disorganized lol

Stock tune ? I ask as one of course if you have gone to a higher stall , With the stock conveter TCC would not be as noticable as it would with a high stall. As for when it locks and unlocks brake switch or time wise the tune will tell , I am assuming if you are datalogging you have HPTUNERS ? If so look in EDITOR an see how the TCC is set up. Stock it should disengage during any shift and at low to 0 throttle depending on where it set and with brake apply, But this can be altered in tune and may have been.

thanks for your reply.
I believe tune is stock as far as trans goes but I will have a look.
What specific tables should I be looking at?

it does have higher rpm converter. Between 3500-4000.
thanks for your help

Based on these charts it should or shouldn’t be locking converter in 3rd during normal driving?

and it’s not commanding converter lockup at wot correct?

Let me start out with I am new my self at HP TUNERS however that does not look right to me though I could be wrong , Here is a pock of mine with stock table as while I have a triple disc and do plan to loct at top of 2nd and 3rd at WOT above 4000 RPM I have not yet done so ,
May be an image of text

Now these numbers are based on a 3.08 rear ratio with P275/40/R17 TIRES and I am not sure what yours is .Perhaps someone else will chime in with more tuning experince or consider posting your issue in the tuning section along with these tables for input.
