Question Problem with Jakes D3 Trans brake not bumping consistently

Hello. I have a 2002 turbocharged Camaro with a 4L80E and Holley Dominator EFI engine management. I have problems getting the car to bump into the second staging light consistently. If I set the pulse width modulation so I can get the car to bump gradually, sometimes it will not move. Last October I went to the track and managed to win in Comp Rod. Two weeks ago (April 15th) I was at the track again and I could not get into the second stage light with the same settings; the car would not move. After that I reset the PWM table to get a more aggressive movement. Then I could stage successfully but once I got into eliminations, I had to push the button twice to stage but then I probably got in too deep and red-lighted in the first round. It seems to be a fine line between getting the car to move gradually and not moving at all.

I see Jakes Performance has come out with a new trans brake called the D3 Pro. Have any of you had better luck with the D3 Pro being able to creep into the second staging light? Does it help your car bump consistently?

Thanks!
Mark
