Default help installing A4

okay i brought this A4 from someone off the fourm here, anyways i get it bolted up and part of the fly wheel is showing on the bottom of the drivers side, im thanking there is some kind of cover that goes there to cover the fly wheel, or maybe i have the wrong trans???? the number off the bellhousing is 24206952, and my engine is a 98 LS1 but the guy said this trans come out of a 00 trans am, and it would bolt right up. can anyone help me out? do i need other parts? or is this the wrong trans? BTW: im doing a LS1 s-10 conversion so this is all build up, i dont have any used parts.

Are you talking about the little plastic covers on each side of the tranny? There is one on the pass side w/ the starter. I believe that those covers are mainly access points and are merely covered up to keep debris out when you are not performing maintenance on it. If so you should be able to get em' from any parts counter / junk yard. Hope that helps.
