This is what I am looking at.



I am looking at the extreme with converter for $2200. Then sell the Yank for $650. Plus $82 in shipping and no tax.

For a total of $1632.

And is good with nitrous to 800 hp.

One year warranty.

The guy if very good friends with Mike as Yank and builds very similar Converters. I gave him my specs and we decided on a 4369 (basically a 4400) stall with an 2.7 str. Will launch at around 3500 versus 2200 that I am launching at now.

It may have a warranty but i would hate to have to pay for shipping a transmission.

 

The shipping is only $82 and its only 4 hours away so I coudl drive it there also.

 

The staff at Art Carr is very friendly. I have had to pay quite a bit for shipping on my tranny returns. I have not had good luck with my 4l60e.

 

Art Carr might have the name, but look into the problems/complaints they have had over the years. Anybody can make a claim for 800HP, but what parts are they using to achieve this, besides the 9.5" torque converter. My past experience (last 24 years) with them (tearing down their transmissions as cores, fixing their mistakes, poor quality workmanship, etc,) has not been good. I have had many a customer disatisfied with their warranties, & how there problems were handled. That is why they came to me, for personal service & "no hype". Do yourself a favor and check "anybody's" history before dealing with them. Advertisements are there for one thing, to draw you in. As with any product you intend to purchase, ask around as to who is recommended and has a good history of service & "honoring" their warranties. I hope this helps.
