Flp Stage 4 (4l60e)
Well my tranny has arrived. Took 2 months and tons of money between it, core, customs and shipping, total $3400 not installed
But what to do? I have no other option here in DUBAI.
Qs: Anything I should know or watch for during install??
Also tuning: Can I edit the shifts and pressure if needed?
Trans fluids? GM?
\
Some feedback from FLP tranny users would be really appreciated
Thanks

be sure to get dexron III fluid... normal brand will be OK. You will also need a filter, and watch out for those damn e-clips that hold the tranny cooling lines. Don't let them escape, because making different ones fit is a PITA.

I'm just anticipating.
Chuck told me about tuning and that the only thing I should adjust is the shift points.
I can't wait to put this baby in and get some good shifts through the traps.
I'll post feedback next week after install.

be sure to hook up the vacuum line and keep it away from the headers
As mentioned since this trans is vacuum modulated you won't be able to adjust line pressure via the PCM
Other than that it's pretty much just like R&R ing a stocker... (well from the outside)

I think Chuck told me all of them come with a metal line now.
As far as mine goes, I switched from a stock tranny(no shift kit) and 3000 midwest stall to a 3600 yank and the flp. Before I couldn't bark the tires between first and second when running 275/50/15 nittos, but now I can bark 26x11.50x15 et streets between 1st and 2nd, and lay 20ft of rubber between 1st and 2nd with the nittos.

I really really can't wait to put this in
Before I could launch on a 150 dry, wonder how I'm going to adjust.
