Default Shifts?

I was wondering, if i where to drive the A4 and go 1-2, and 2-D, and D-(D) what MPH i should shift at?

this just so i can get a good goin if i am on the highway and i want to drop a gear so I have some pull

so basically what MPH should i shift out of 1st and 2nd? Thanks for the help

Dude, your best bet is to just leave in OD. You need to find the right MPH that will get you the right computer controlled down shift you want if you are going to race, I know with my 3:23 geared car on the highway I need to keep it under 70mph to get a wicked 4th to 2nd down shift. If you are going to manually shift watch the RPM's not MPH....and you better shift 600-700 RPM before red line. Leave it in OD and go buy a 3200+ stall to cure your problems

A few years ago my brother in his 3rd gen Camaro, blew his transmission shifting his automatic in this manner.

If you don't want to change stock, try a performance air filter.

If you want your A4 to live a very short life, shift it manually. If not, program the shifts to be where you want them.
