What to replace 4l60E with???

What to replace 4l60E with??? When i nail the gas my RPM's shoot up, i had a gear change and thought it might be that but if its the trans slipping then ill be replacing it with something else, either a T400,T350 or maybe 700R4. I want to be able to do 80-90 on the highway without being super high in the RPM's so i want overdrive. I would also like to have the trans shift by itself, not me monkey shifting it. And i was wondering if i can keep my stock shifter. Let me know your guys's recomendations.

I was going to go with a heads and cam package but now this will delay it back a while. I dont go to the track often but i do want to make a few 10 sec passes with the new heads and cam. I also run on the street alot so i want somethin that willl hold to that abuse. Another member said i could get a T400/T350 and get a gear vendors overdrive onto it, could that be a good choice?
