tranny won't work I installed a th350 into my jeep, bolted to a chevy350 on one end and a dana 300 transfer case on the other, after filling transmission up with fluid I started the jeep, tried to shift into drive and got nothing? shut engine off tried rolling jeep while trans was in park and jeep rolls with no resistance. driveshaft turns but flywheel doesn't? I'm no mechanic so any help will be appreciated. |
Is the shift linkage hooked up are you even getting it out of N on the tranny it self. Just a thought |

Does it feel like anything is happening when you shift rpm change. Or any noise at all. |
no noise, no r.p.m change. |
ill retract my statment until you have a bit more info :) i dont want to look like a tool :thumb: |
I'm not familiar with the Dana 300, is it selectable 4WD? Does it have a nuetral position? I actually had a Suburban towed in for a "transmission concern" because it did exactly what you describe and we noticed the transfer case was in nuetral. |
yes it is a selectable 4wd, does't work in 2 or 4wd. |
Are you sure your transfer case is good?It sounds like its not engaginging properly. |
Transfer case was fine when I started the project. |
4x4
