Thumbs up just installed rock on 4l60e

man this tranny kicks ***. a 40 mph punch and it anilates the rear tires. cruising on interstate with a 4000 stall you ddont even feel like you have a built tranny. from a dead stop is the best i have never pulled my front wheels of the ground before till today. i should have done this 2 trannys ago. defently call dave at rock on and see what he can do for you.

Good to hear that more and more people r having good luck with "Built" 4L60E's

I noticed they also advertise a warranty on their trannies but I couldn't find any details on there website.

Are you saying you pulled the front tires with the mods in your sig?

He's supposedly working on becoming a sponsor here. I also have his Stage4 tranny dyno tested to 600hp - I'm only putting down 426rwhp/418rwtq (btw, my car isn't pulling the front wheels even w/the extensive mods I have) so with the 15% driveline loss I am still within the safety margin at the flywheel.

You can't beat this guy's warranty, quality, or customer service

how much do you charge to rebuild a stock 4L60E as a race prepped/daily driving tranny?

Great! Glad to hear this, i am still running my stock trans in the car right now, but when it lets go some day I will be looking into my options and I want to stay with a 4L60E or similar. Where in Texas are you guys located. Sponsorship on here should do you guys real well I think. We have A LOT of Texas members here

Hey Dave,
It's nice to see someone obviously not cutting corners building 4L60-Es. Some of your competition prefers to skip the blueprinting and the more difficult-to-replace bushings just to save time, and they still charge a premium. I need someone good to recommend for 60's. I'll be watching...

I build about 2 units a week. Main reason is that it takes a lot of time blue printing, the transmission from front to back. Not just replacing parts, but thoroughly checking out "everything". I do all of the work myself, including "teardown" which is very important as to why the unit failed or lasted and you begin to discover the weak points & how to "solve" them. To build a unit to last with quite a bit of horsepower is a combination of many things, what the driver is going to do with the vehicle, how he drives (conservative, moderate, moderately aggressive, or aggressive, which torque converter, rear end gear ratio, cam selection, is it a daily driver, or weekend warrior, etc. You can begin to see that it is much more than just adding a shift kit or a servo to acheive the end results.
