Anyone have this problem? I have a 99 GMC Sierra SLE 5.3 ecsb. I'm not sure exactly what tranny I have but my truck has 160,000 miles on it and the gear oil has never been changed. Sometimes when I put the truck in reverse it seems like it doesn't really engage like it's still in neutral but it's trying to grab reverse. It will eventually engage after a few secs. This same thing happened a few thousand miles back I changed the tranny fluid and it hasn't done it since until now. I wondered if changing the rear end oil would help or is this trans going out on me. Any help would be appreciated.
