Got my TCS 4400 Stall converter in and just got one question
It seems at lower speeds that i pull more rpms then i use to with the stock one, IS this rite or is my trans on the way out.

 

my 4200 stall converter runs more rpms at slower speeds until the converter locks up, then I run the same rpms as stock.

 

yea that exactly what i was looking for. It almost feels like it sliping at low rpms rite?

 

It should, thats what people mean by the looseness or tightness of a converter.

LOL, enjoy the converter man, I wish I had a bigger one.

 

i did a TC 4400 stall. all i got done to my car is long tubes a lid , borla. i took my car out today with the e-t streets with 10lbs in each tire launched the car at 2100Rpms a spun them a good 30 feet. the tires where not cold i was drivining on them for a good 10miles first.

 

Same problem here on a PT4000

 

What you are experiencing is normal. Its physically impossible to have a stall that turns the same rpm's at part throttle then flash to 4000+ at WOT. Its perfectly normal and you'll get use to it in no time.

 

any sugestions on where to start with my suspension now

 

I would say Torque Arm, Lowercontrol arms, panhard rod, hal shocks.

 

panhard rod.... i thought thats only for road racing and dosent affect drag racing

 

Well it makes sure your rear is centered after lowering the car if your gonna do that, so thats why I did it.

 

you did a good thing by going with that big converter....most people regret not going big enough. good luck hooking up off the line!
