I have been reviewing the threads in this forum. It appears to me I have learned the following:

1. An A4 from a 1995 LT1 combo will bolt up to a LS1 engine block with the exception of the top center trans bolt and one other. These are simply not used.

Is this correct?

2. I see where the t/c has to be shimmed (at least on the TH400 conversion). Is that also true for using a pre LS1 A4 on an LS1?

Does that cover all the possible issues with the mismatch of this trans to that engine?
