I have plans for a turbo car in the near future. I have pondered ditching the 6 speed for the consistancy and launching ability of a built turbo 400. My only concern is, in the event that I want to play on the highway (rare).. how much topend loss would there be? Obviously, I will be geared accordingly for each. Say for instance everything in my car is equal besides the turbo 400 and the m6.. how badly would the m6 prevail on the highway?
Thanks,
Josh

Good question
I would like to know also
So, if we are cruising down the hwy at say 50/60mph, do we have to downshift it to go WOT - then bump it into third. What about cruising around at lower speed on the street, do you need to downshift it then
(can you even downshift a manual reverse while moving???)
I imagine a 4K stall and 3.73 gears would do OK for RANDOM high speed highway sprints, but not sure.
This is why I plan i getting my TH400 with the GV OD unit

wel, after blowing 3 t-56's and a couple piece of built ones blowing with my old set up. Twin turbo, i went with a th-400 this time around with the n2o, its a rev man VB and it is still fun. on the highway id say around 140-150 is where my car would loose to an equal car only 6 speed. it pulls solid all the way and keeps trucking till im out of gear.
go 400 you wont regret it. i went with a huges and a huges converter, i got it threw east Side>>> they took good care of me.
