Default Newbie ?: What gear do u race in?

I was running my 00 Ram-Air last night and I noticed something weird. If I leave it in 3rd, the tranny has problems in the 2-3 shift. It doesn't hit the limiter or anything, it just seems to have a hard time going in. However, if I leave it in Drive, it works perfect. It will kick 2-3 just as firm as the 1-2 shift. I also found out that my mass air meter ends had been hogged out by the previous owner. From what I have read, this is not a good idea on auto's.....

It would be a good idea to put factory maf ends back on the car. They do seem to mess with shift firmness and sometimes shift points. Maf ends are more of a six speed thing

You are correct, return that maf back to stock as your tranny uses that to shift
