Default Shift extension on PT4200 question.

Seems my new verter doesnt go down below 6000rpms at WOT. Dont know if the tach is that slow or my tires are bustin loose, their that bald. This is the 2 to 3 shift of course. I thought the SE should be around 5600 or 5700. Any info is great, Thanks

Make a run with autotap or efilive and see if the tach is accurate. 5500 - 5800 would be my expectation.

Autotap sounds like a good idea....F-Body tachs are very inaccurate

Snap-on scantool showed it dropping to 6000 rpm after 2 to 3 shift and staying there even though the tach on the dash was moving and the car was accelerating faster. I dont know if the loosness of the verter is freakin out the pcm. Car seems to run good and pull hard. Any info or help is appreciated.
