Need advice on stall rpm
Need advice on stall rpm about to put a converter in my LT1. was wanting to get opinions on what stall rpm to go with. What i am wanting out of the converter if nothing else is to be able to spray off the line or not much long after (duh!).
However, being that I have stock internals and 3.42 gearing, I am hesitant to throw in a 3800+. I was considering a 3500, but not sure what it may brake stall to. FYI - My LT1 has hissy fits and nitrous backfires anywhere under 3200 rpm, or so says the MSD window switch??

I would start with a Vig 2800 or similar converter. Rarely do they experience tuning issues in LT1's with a 2800 or less and it will hold the spray.
Definitely get a window switch or progressive controller so you don't damage your motor.
