Whats the best kit for the 400 in a 72pickup
with stock stall and tows frequently?

Go to http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/custo...&cat=28&page=2 this should give you all you need for towing. Make sure you add a large external transmission cooler.

If thats the transgo 1&2 kit thats a good price and IMO the best you can put in a th400. I had one in an '88 3/4 ton GMC Sierra. I've put them in a few other things too. The kit allows for many adjustments in shift feel and even includes spare valve body gaskets in case you need to take it back off for an adjustment.

if you use a truck 400 a shift kit is not needed. but if you have a manual l will show you how to do it at NO extra expense.
