Default Corvette Servo, worth it?

I was just curious if upgrading to the "Corvette Servo" in your 4L60E is worth any extra performance? Whats the purpose for this? I see this mod in many guys' mod list and I was just wondering if it was worth the extra $$ or not. Pros/Cons'?

My '02 SS already had one. A lot of 4L60E's in higher performance vehicles have them from the factory, some in trucks too.
It basically increases the apply area to put more clamping force on the band, due to it's size.
Change the servo only and you will notice a more firm 1-2 shift.
FWIW it's not a good idea to use a billet super servo on a stock band, the vette servo is the best you can go with when stock.

LT1/LS1 cars are supposed to be equipped with the "vette" servo. This includes F-bodies and B-bodies.
