I've been looking for a stall for my daily driver too. I was looking at the TT2800/TT3000 or the ST3200.

Now I am intrigued by the SS3600.

Hey 2002 T/A, where did you get your TC installed at? I have the same exact one waiting to be installed. Was wondering if I should also get a TransGo shift kit while I'm waiting. And how much was the complete install with tuning?

$850 installed and tuned by Cartek in Garwood NJ....I wouldn't recommend getting it tuned unless you have other mods like headers or a cam

Rokko go with at least the SS3800

Yeah I just realized that I had asked you that question before. 350 just installed without tuning right?

Actually let me correct myself, you should get it tuned, but not an all out tune, just have them delete a few codes (P0157, etc) and set some shift points, line pressure and so on.....Its cheaper that way

Yeah its either 300 or 350 I forget, and tuning is either 500 or 550.....The Cartek guys are real cool, I enjoyed hanging out with them for the day

Hmmm okay, then how much would they charge for the partial tune? 500-550?

Well that doesn't sound too bad. I'm not gonna have it installed till after all this damn snow and cold goes away anyways. Won't be able to hook on cold pavement.

Hmmm I wonder if it would help or hinder in this situation. Remember we are gonna meet up when I'm gonna get it installed.

Can you give me some driving characteristics?

When taking off from a stop does it go to ~4000 before you start to move? How was your mileage affected?

According to Yank and MTI, there is an SS 3200 converter for the f-body. Both MTI and Yank recommended it for my car after I explained to them what I wanted. I think it was dave at yank that said it wasn't on there website yet.

My wife will be ordering the SS 32000, heads, and cam tomorrow from MTI.

I got an install date of 24 Jan....can't wait.

Rokko not even close, the car moves anywhere from 1000-2000 rpms, obviously when you get to 1750-2000 the car goes quickly, I spend most of my time in the 750-1750 range, the car also still rolls when I let off the gas which is good.

My gas mileage wasn't affected at all, I still get 18-20mpg just like I did before the convertor, its a mixture of city and highway driving, with a good dose of traffic. Of my 40 minute commute, 15-20 minutes is traffic or stop and go driving. There are some weeks where I do all city driving and my mpg will be in the 15-16 range (I keep track of my mpg very well)

as for the convertor being a 3800, the only time it sees 3800 is when I go about 1/2 to full throttle, the rpms will jump to that range.

I have a new digital camera that takes vids, i'll see if I can take a vid of it, probably won't come out too good, but it'll give an idea....send me your e-mail address and i'll send it to you in the next few days if it even works
