Default 94 z28 Automatic

I just got this car (94 Z28 A4). The people that I met at the local club don't know much about the A4 tranny they all have the M6. So I have just a couple of questions,
1 what transmission is it
2 At WOT it won't shift out of first till I lift, Shifts from 2 to 3 are fine Fluid level seems to be ok and it is very clean. Shifts perfect if it is just short of WOT.

Still having shifting problems but I did have a serious tranny line leak (4qts in 500mile) fixed. Shifting isn't as bad. It seems to bump the rev limiter 2 times before it shifts and when it does it shifts like it has a shift kit in it.

Is the converter and gears stock? If so it sounds like you need a rebuild.

Man I hope that I don't need a rebuild, The dealership said that they just replaced the tranny so they could sell the car. (probably a junkyard tranny). Well if I do I guess that it would be a good time for a shift kit, a vacuume shift upgrade kit and a stall converter.
