Default Question on Transgo install

On the separator plate page of the instructions it tells you to drill a .082 hole short and .093 hole full race and hi-stall.

This is for the 1-2 shift. I am putting in a vig 2800 so is that considered a hi-stall?

Same thing goes for the 2-3 shift

Thanks for the help

Rob

2800 would be considered high stall when it comes to shift kits.
The higher the stall speed the softer the shift.
I have a stock converter, when I installed my transgo I drilled the holes as they suggest and the shifts were too soft for my taste.
I took it back apart and drilled second to .093, it shifts great now. Third is drilled to .110 and it shifts ok at high throttle.
I also plugged the 4th accumulator and drilled fourth to .110, it shifts great now too.
I also used HP Tuners to disable torque management, decrease shift timing and alter shift points.
I'm happy with it now.

Is it necessary to reconfigure parameters in the pcm after a shift kit install ?

If you want the hole sizes I use on this kit (for the last 8 years) with the stall TC, give me a call at 800 7763288. These changes in hole sizes will make a big difference in life and shift feel.
