IN your case I'd hate to say it, but stick with the auto.

Either way you decide you'll be beefing up the rearend in no time. But that becomes a given when your in the 650-700rwhp range you desire.

If you don't mind, update us when your done so we can wipe the drool off our keyboards.

well you might not blow up the t-56, but you are going to either go through clutches like they were slicks, or pay a grand itself for one that will hold up... also, the synchros will routinely be blown out if you're putting that much power through it. only 2 manual tranny's i see holding up... jerico road race trans, and g-force trans. speed inc. has their twin turbo m6 lt-4 car putting down similar numbers to the wheels and it has the g-force 6spd. it cost 5 grand! but it works very well. i'd just get a built 350/400 and get a taller gear if you want to street drive it a lot. w/ that much torque, i think you might benifit from a taller gear anyways. the fastest manual car (the twin turbo viper) runs 8.70's on a 2.73 gear.

Emir, no offense to Taz, but he was an idiot when it came to that tranny! First off, i'd never have expected to try and make that thing shift itself, it's just not a good idea, he should've gotten it with a manual valvebody and just shifted it manually and he would've had absolutely no problems at all! And he could've hooked up the speedo just like you can with a 400, but who the hell cares about a speedo anyways?

In case anyone has a doubbt about how much power you can put through an automatic transmission, in comparison with a stick shift, check out this article on one of our overdrive transmissions installed in a vehicle with over 720 real wheel horsepower. we have a similiar conversion for the ls1 camaro which utilizes a stock uncut driveshaft and crossmember as well as the original shifter cable and bracket, speedometer and filler tube.

I get the best picture quality by putting the articles into the windows picture and fax viewer and clicking the magnifying glass to enlarge the pic.

If you still get bad quality, just let me know and I'll email you the articles.

thank you for putting them up.btw the transmission has been in the car for 2 years .the automatic shift valve body was removed in favor of the manual shift valve body as the car just had too much power for it and the t brake also has proven a wise addition.my web guy will be putting it up on my home page under gmaodhybrid trans in the next 24 hours hopefully
