The SS drives around town very nicely. Still is a very good converter at the track. Basiclly gives you the best of both worlds, good on the street and at the track!!

i thought my pt4400 drove nicely around town too. what makes its more streetable? doesnt stall as high from stoplights? what defines "streetable" rather?

does the SS series have a higher STR / lower SE
and the PT have a lower STR / higher shift extention?

i know the shift extention on my SS4000 is crap,
after 6000 im at 4700,
same as my old 3400/2.0

maybe the PT has less STR,
so is more "mushy" feeling below stall speed,
but has a better shift extention

wheres the yank rep?

I've got a brand new TCS 700R4 converter sitting here, it is a street locker 12". It stalls to 2800 on a 350hp 350.

Your gauge must be off. I drop 900 rpm between gears with my SS4000.

What is better about the ss for street driving compared to the pt4400, besides the loosness factor. Not to long ago everyone was saying that the PT4400 was king. Just wondering because i was thinking of going with a PT4400
