Default transmission angle question (TH400)

I cant seem to get my transmission angle off the output shaft above -3*. It pretty much so stays -3* no matter how many shims i add under the trans mount. i have it at 1.5" right now and the trans shield is getting fairly close to contacting the floor pan if i go any higher. I clearanced the 4 bolts on the ultra-bell so it fits tight on the block so thats not it. nothing eles is causeing a bind on the trans or motor. My garage floor is level and the car is sitting level. The motor is also showing -3* off the front of the cyl. heads. I'm thinking it can possibly be the motor mounts causeing this. has anyone else experienced something like this when istalling a TH400 or other trans?

I added a 1" spacer under the poly mount on mine (with an M6 crossmember) and it is fine. Mine reads 2 degrees down sitting on the garage floor, but that number really doesn't matter - it is the relationship between the trans/driveshaft/rear that matters. If you PM me your e-mail address, I can send you an in-depth writeup on how to set it up.

I set my pinion angle -2* off the driveshaft.
