Default More mph help

I have a th400, loose 4000rpm stall (midwest nitrous converter), 373 gears, and 28" tires. Tonight on a 100 shot I came within 100 rpms of hitting the rev limiter. I will be upping the nitrous soon and need to find a way to get more mph out of her. I think a tighter converter would help some. I feel its slipping 400-600 rpms. I don't want to go with a lower gear so it either a converter for a taller tire. I want to be able to run high 130's so I might need both the converter and the taller tire. I could also retune and see how power is above 6600 and raise my rev limiter. Power now feels to fall off above 6200 or so now. Any thoughts. Here is the break down between my na and 100 shot runs.

motor nitrous
60'- 1.696 1.590
660'- 7.247 6.799
mph 96.28 102.11
1000'- 9.459 8.889
1320'- 11.325 10.659
mph- 119.76 125.83

I just found a graph that shows with a 373 and 28" tires you can run

129 @ 5800rpms
134 @ 6000
140 @ 6300
147 @ 6700
These are all at 100% lockup

I was at 6500rpms tonight when I trapped 126 so I might have been at 130 or so at the traps. Is it normal for a converter to slip 600 rpms in 3rd?
