Trans Slippage ~ Need Some Help Please!! I need some help here. I have a 2001 SS with an automatic transmission. The problem that I'm having is that whenever I'm at freeway speeds (usually between 60-70 mph) my transmission starts to slip. I took it to a transmission shop and they hooked it up and had it diagnosed as well as taking it for a road test. When I went back to pick it up, I was told that everything was OK. The only thing that I can think of is that when I last had my transmission serviced, the fluid was replaced with Royal Purple trans fluid. I heard somewhere that using Royal Purple may cause the slippage to happen. Does anyone have any ideas? Do you think the Royal Purple has anything to do with it?
