Default tranny help

I am currently in the process of rebuilding my motor but before the motor problems I had tranny problems. I changed the fluid and filter no metal but burnt color. When I got it all put back together and cranked it the motor did its thing, so I never knew if that fixed it.

My question is could someone close to central texas that knows tranny help me out. Maybe a rebuild, or can it be torn down to see whats wrong first. Thanks
