Default Highest possible stall..

Ive had a 3200, but now am on a 2800 stall. What is the highest I can go with good street manners?!

Current mods:
2800 stall
Cut-out
Tranny cooler

PS-Setup will be ran with LTs and gears.

Is 3600 about the limit?

I had a Yank PY3400 and it had perfect street manners with my 3.42 geared 12 bolt. Not too much stall but enough to cut low 1.8 60' times on brick hard regular street radials. I've since switched to a PT4000 in preparation for a heads/cam swap. Honestly, the PT4000 is a tad loose for my tastes. For driving on the street I mean. I'm sure others will chime in saying that a PT4000 drives, to them, like a stocker. My opinion of it is that it's just a little loose for a daily driver.

I've got a Vigilante 3600 in my car right now and its perfectly streetable. Stalls take getting used to. Once you drive a stalled car for a while, any size will feel streetable.

street manners is a function of weight, gearing, part throttle shift point / lock-up tuning, exhaust noise, and your personal tolerance for that feeling.

For 3 years I had a 4000 or 4200 stall. I eventually grew tired of it after an exhaust change increased the noise level.
