Misfires causing lock-up problems?

Default Misfires causing lock-up problems?

I’m putting in the cam in the early spring and I’m preparing for what’s going to need to be done with my PCM at that time. Is it the PO300 code that you get rid of to end this problem? Has anyone ever ditched this code and still had unlocking problems? Does anything else need to be done to the PCM to keep misfires from the cam from causing non-locking problems? Thanks.

Ditch the mis-fire codes and you should be good to go. My converter locks strong every time thanks to Ed Wright addressing this issue. 221/224 cam has no mis-fires, hehe.

Patrick, did you just get rid of the PO300 code or ALL the misfire codes? PO300 is just the random misfire code but then I beleive each cylinder has it's own code to, correct? Did you get rid of all of them, or just the PO300? Thanks for your help <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

Just the random multiple misfire code. You want to know about more serious misfires. THe RMM code is what keeps the SES on all the time and the converter in the constant unlocking mode.
