is there any way that tuning is causing these tranny's to go bad damn 3-4 clutch pack fried after 200 miles no signs just went both times trans was rebuilt with red alto clutch packs trans go shift kit and vac. mod. need help please am considering 6 speed because a friend is having same problem but is going on his 6th trans and was tuned by the same person.

 

I think you need to go to a new person...

 

I'm having a similar problem. I'm really wondering if it was tuning that caused it to fail again, but it could just be a bad part somewhere. The guy that built my tranny is supposed to be REALLY good, and he's pretty baffled right now with it. I heard that the tuning has to be pretty messed up to screw up the tranny (especially that fast), unless the line pressure gets really high, but idk if that's true.

 

ditto- seems as if it was put together wrong somehow or something was overlooked.
