Default pilot bearing help (doing A4->M6 swap)

hello everyone
well im in the process of swaping the A4 for the M6 in my 98 formula and I got stuck in THE PILOT BEARING, is there already a pilot bearing in my crank?
if there is do I need to replace it with a new one?
how can I tell if there is a pilot bearing, I dont see anything that resenbles a bearing.....
another thing, I went to oreiley and asked for a pilot bearing and they gave me a pilot bushing, its just a piece of metal that resembles a ring with no bearings whatsoever, so is this a part that I need as well?
I thank you for all the help in advance
David
