Choosing: Vig3600 or Vig4000? I currently have the vig2800, but I think I need
more stall. It's a daily driver. My PCM is programmed right now to lock-up at 45MPH in 3rd and 4th gear. Do I need to send off my PCM to adjust for the new converter? The Vig2800 lock-up in 3rd gear at WOT is starting at 115MPH. Does that need to be reprogrammed also?

Re: Choosing: Vig3600 or Vig4000? I wouldn't recommend the Vig 4000. It's going to stall WAY too high. I lost 38 RWHP through it on my T/A, and it was flashing comfortably over 5,000 RPM on the launch. Sure, this was with a 383, but it's still going to stall a lot more behind a stock engine. If it's anything like their other converters, I bet it'll flash at least 4,800 in a stock LS1. Daily driveability would SUCK completely with this converter! I had 3.42:1 gears in my T/A, and it was LOOSE. I personally wouldn't go any looser than the 3600, and then I'd install a lockup switch to lock it up on the big end.
45 MPH lockup would kind of annoy me with a really loose converter, but that's purely subjective. Mine is set for 30 MPH, and it's nice and streetable. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
