Default Trans SLip.. or electrical?

Ok i have convinced that my trans mission is slippin... here what my problems is..... it all seemed to start when i got new rims i went from 16s to 18s... couple days later i had a race but every gear i would slam the reve limiter. so i had it retuned for the bigger rims.... worked perfect. then 2 weeks later... it did the same thing again.... my shop convinced me that my trans was slippin. couple things though. ONe my fluid is fine not burnt and still red.... my trans pullS me all the way to the reve limiter i dont feel a loss there but it just wont shift. any help before i blow my money on a bigg transmission?

Normal Driving is totally fine.

Usually it will set a p1870 slip detected or a 1-2 2-3 ratio error if there is a slip. But it is possible it's in the beginning stages. Every now and then we have had one through the shop that just flat will ot set a code but it is slipping like a bastard. If it does it once it has gone into 4th the high clutches are usually the culprit.

Put your old wheels back on, I'll bet the diameters are different, throwing off the computer. I also noticed you had 3.73's, did you reprogram?

You probably just need to fine tune your shift points if you've alreayd programed for tire size and gears.

You may have reprogramed for that, but did you lower shift MPH and RPM? The converter is playing a huge factor in that. Knock your 1-2 wot shift rpm down to 5500 and if that works, start slowly bumping it up untill you like where it shifts. you'll probably need to repeat this for every gear.

I believe the pcm shifts off input shaft rpm of the transmission.
For ex: my 1-2 rpm is set at 5700, however i'm at 6200 by the time it actually gets commanded to shift into 2nd.

Mine did something similar. when i first put in my 3.73's it ran but it would short shift 1st and hit the rev limiter in 2nd. So i programmed the gears and it worked fine for the first month then it started short shifting like crazy, it would only go to 4k and shift even if i did it manualy. So i unprogrammed the gears and it worked fine, so i programmed it again to the gears and it short shifted so i just left it unprogrammed. It seems that my pcm just doesn't like the fact i have 3.73's it only acts up when i program the 3.73's in.
