Other than that, I believe it's mostly the 2001/02 cars having the problems with the ST3500's... not quite sure why that is though.
I'm extremely pleased with my converter. Between the converter and removing the cats I picked up .8 in the 1/4 ET. But I've also been told that is somewhat more than what most people pick up. A gain of at least .4 is usually realized. Also be aware that you will not be able to see those great time improvements without at least having a pair of drag radials. You'll still gain a couple tenths of street tires but any reasonably sized converter will simply bake street tires.
And yes, you MUST get traction to see any real gains from a TC. The higher shift extension will still help you, but the real gains are in the launch.

The reason why you're seeing more Yank ST3500s setting codes on '01s and '02s is that there are so many more of them out there than any other brand...and that's a fact.</strong><hr></blockquote>Thank's guys. Right now, all I have done is !FRA !EGR Direct Flo lid Holley Filter and Hypertech 160 T Stat, Fan early on 100% Firmness and altered shift points My best Et so far is 12.973 @ 107.90 at ATCO last Saturday!!! This is in a 2000 Camaro SS with T-Tops, pwr everything and that quite not so restrictive Fac SLP Dual-Dual.
