Default 4L80E Questions...

Will a 60E converter work in it, what will change in the computer, what vehicle(s) had the 80E, what power will it hold, how much $ ?

Thanks, just curious, I feel a rebuild by the end of the year....

You need a new converter. An 80 has a 35 spline input shaft and a 60 has a 31. It can hold upward of 1000 torque if built up right. I believe stock is rated at 800 torque. It is a lot of cash to do the swap. Tranny with build up, tranny mounting brace, wire conversion kit, drive shaft, converter and bolts n hoses cost me over $4500. And I saved some money by having ken from ls1 edit make me a custom bin file with the 80e tables instead of doing a stand alone.

thanks man wow, that is quite a bit, but nothing like a tranny that supports 1000rwtq and has overdrive!
