Default Where can I find a th400

I want to switch to th400 for next year I want a 4,400 stall to go with my cam. I kind of getting tired of shifting and want to be more consitent with my times.
Does anyone know how much for one with a 4,400 stall would be. Then I will put up my T56 for sell to get some of the money back.
Mike

Its "consistent" dumb ****

There is a place up around Lula that might have one Mike. I'll check with my buddy Tommy and see if he can check. Why not go with a TH350?

Call MadMan (Brian) one our sponsors. He hooked me up for my M6 to A3 switch. Will depend on what you want and for what reason.

I'll build you one that will handle more than 500 HP and I'll trade you the T56 set up for it.
You would need to get the converter and conversion stuff, I have HP Tuners for a 2002 F Body to tune it.
I will also deliver it and maybe help out with the conversion.
All I need is the T56 and whats under the car, no pedals, etc.

I live in Florida. If we were going to make a deal it would be best for you to have the trans out and ready for the th400.
I'd come up there and help to get it in and test drive it, tune it in, etc.
You're also going to need a good converter, I'll guarantee my work as long as the converter doesn't come apart and ruin the trans.
What do you think of that?

PS I'm an idiot who loves to built transmissions, I'm doing a th350 for a guy I work with for parts I really don't need and $100. I think I'm losing money, but I like building them.
I also built one for a kid at work.
My best th400 is behind a 540 in an '89 tubbed out silverado, built it three years ago.

ll know that the trans builders wont like this, a one ton truck th400 can handle all the power you can make, IF THE PASSING GEAR IS CONNECTED AT FULL THROTTLE,

I've been building them for up to 500 hp with borg warner smooth frictions, sometimes other brands, they all get 4L80E or old style direct drums with extra frictions and a 34 element intermediate sprag.
A TransGo 1&2 kit.
All new parts that wear and close inspection of other parts.
Now the one I built thats behind the 540 in the truck is holding up much to my surprise, the guy had a '69 corvette 427 in it that I helped build, so I built the trans to match that engine.
Now he goes and gets the truck tubbed and puts the 540 in it, but he says the trans is fine.
If I built one for your power level I'd probably put in a forward clutch hub and mainshaft.

I have three of those one ton truck cores to start the build with.
