I'm installing a 3600 stall, with a b&m supercooler, that car will see moderate driving... should i get a deep pan as well? Thanks.

A deep pan wont hurt at all, but I think they come especially into play when you get a shift kit and start drilling into the tranny. I think one with some fins will help some with the cooling.

i think it would be a good idea since the converter will be smaller and you will now have less fluid in the trans which would make it harder to cool. The deep pan serves 3 purposes 1. Deeper pan holds more fluid 2. Keeps trans fluid cooler since it has fins and the extra fluid. 3. It more rigid and holds the case of the trans together. So i would say get it. The part about it being stronger i think is more of a marketing scam, but the pan is stronger...

A deep pan is good, but really not all that necessary for a moderatly driven street car. The cooler will take care of it. And if your car is lowered that could be a real problem. I don't think I could put one on my car for that reason.

The before and after comparisons I've seen have only shown a 2 or 3 degree difference in fluid temp. If that's the case, it's hardly worth the bother, especially with the increased chance of bumping it on something.

I've been running the stall in sig & the 24000 B&M cooler for probably over 70K miles w/no probs. I do change the fluid/filter about every 25-30K.
Edit: still have stock pan
