Default A4 lurches while in 3rd and 4th gear!

I am starting to get worried about my car. I have an A$ with 2.73's and at about 1400-1600 RPMs in 3rd and 4th gear, right around lock-up (i have stock TC), the car starts making small, short little "lurches." No one can really notice besides me, and a dealership has said its normal. I drove my friends A$ and it does not do this, so is something wrong? THe only thing I can think of is that the converter (sp) is going bad since it happens right around lock up RPMs in only lock up gears. Can anyone speculate, sorry about the long post, but Im kind of worried now.

John

Don't speculate, Autotap. (Transmission --> TCC slip RPM). Look at a log file of this.

Speculation: Something is wrong with the Pulse Width Modulated Lockup Solenoid (or Engagement...what it does is cushion engagement of the lockup clutch to avoid "chatter"....sounds like something is wrong with yours? It could just as well be a problem with the lockup clutch... <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Mine does that same damn thing with my yank TT3000, it only happens at around 48-50 mph and it is hardly even noticeable, i haven't really worried about it, if it gets worse then i will have it checked out, until then, i just don't cruise between 48-50 mph
