trans mods??? Ive got a few questions about tranny modifications. I am doing all the bolt-ons on my car shortly. Maby someday I will do a cam and a 3200 or so stall on my car. But for now I want to ensure the life of my tranny. I was thinking of a deep pan, tranny cooler, and shift kit. Wanted your opinion on these mods (problems, worth it or not, alternatives) Also Im getting an LS1 edit is it better to do tuning to up the line pressure or get the shift kit?

I'd vote shift kit before upping line pressure. A cooler and pan with gauge would be a very good idea. Keep the fluid cool, <200* is preferable. Don't floor it while cruising and force a downshift from 4th to 2nd if you can help it. Don't go WOT in fourth gear (OD). Avoid exessive WOT shifts from 2-3. The biggest things on that list are 4-2 downshifts and WOT in OD.
