a few questions

a few questions I did a search and found some few anwsers, just want to clarify a few things in my own head...
1) When installing a tranny temp gauge theirs a plug you can just pull out and put the sender in? or do you need any adapters?
2) Does anyone sell a stock size pan for our trannys that have a drain plug? Don't want a deep just because of clearance, and i read they only drop temps a degree or two.
3) In terms of fluid just regular old dexron 3? Throw a bottle of b&m trickshift in there?
