Which Convertor is right for me?
I plan to also get a Trans Go Shift Kit and Tranny cooler with this.
Thanks

IMO....you should get the Yank ST3500. Some problems are caused by people cruising around town in OD. You need to be in D and not OD in town. There is no point to be in OD unless you're doing 55mph+.

Yep, no point at all, unless you like money. <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0">
I personally would not buy a converter if it killed my overdrive function. Before I had my converter there was a while where I used D in town instead of OD (and all I do is city driving 98% of the time under 50mph) and my gas mileage was down around 15mpg. If I didn't care about overdrive I'd already have a Turbo 400 tranny. Anyway you slice it, overdrive is 4th gear for an automatic and at ANY speed, overdrive is going to be a lower rpm than 3rd and just to make this simple -- higher rpm = takes more gas
Not to mention running around in higher rpm all the time is eventually going to shorten your motor's life expectancy, especially if you're running a converter because the rpms are going to be rise a lot higher than stock every time you accelerate.
Mustangeater - I personally have an ST3500 and have been very pleased, but if you're concerned about that SES light thing with the 01/02's, I'd say skip it because it's not worth only getting 170 miles on every tank of gas IMO. It's not practical for a daily driven street car to not have the use of that 4th gear.

A lot of people are running the ST3500. Its a badass converter. If you want to know more about converters and prices, then visit Yanks website.
