A few less asked stall questions...
4000/3200 = 1.25 or a 25% increase in stall speed
3.42/2.73 = 1.25 or a 25% increase in gearing
Given those numbers, can it be reasoned that the 4000/3.42 combo will be pretty close as far as looseness is concerned to the 3200/2.73 combo I'm used to?
What effect does STR play in how loose or tight a converter feels? Old converter is 2.5 and the new one is 2.7 or 2.8.
Also, given two equal cars, both with a 4000 stall, one car with 2.7 STR and 3.42s, the other car with 2.2 STR and 3.73s, which car should feel less loose and will it be a significantly noticable difference (I ask this because there is a 4000 stall 3.73 geared car I might be able to drive to get an idea how a stall this big will act)? Just kind of wondering if I'll see the benefits I really want out of this TCI and I should make the swap, or if the only place it will benefit me is in the 60' (because I dont have the tires to get the full benefit this bigger converter will offer down there). TIA.
