Default my 60-e finally died need help

driving to work last week the trans shuddered badly on the 1-2 shift.
definately burnt the band - not bad for 90,000 miles and over 100 passes in 7 years.

the other problem i have is no comression braking when i downshift. i can feel something(s) applying as i choose different gears. i think the overrun sprag broke, but i have never seen this in a 4l60-e.

has anyone else seen this problem?

i am going to spec out a rebuild kit from performance transmission center with some upgrades. if there is a sponsor that can help me out i would be willing to go with them. i just need to know what to order before i pull it out because i cant let it sit for too long.

thanks
kevin

i have driven mine pretty hard as well. i was loooking for any similar failures that would cause no compression braking. i can rebuild it myself.
