Default SY3500 Questions

I need some info on the Super Yank 3500. First it will be 98% street driven, will street tires be fine? Second, how much does it cost to have it restalled?
Thanks,
Tony

I was researching converters last fall I almost got an sy3500. It's made to use with street tires hence the low STR (1.7ish, i think) so you'll be fine. As for how much it costs to restall, you might want to contact yank about that one.

It is perfect for a street car on street tires.

You can get it bumped as high as a 4000, but it will cost you several % in efficency.

IIRC, it'll cost around $200 for a restall.

As far as the SY3500 itself, it's a great street converter. I was also able to cut some 1.7's with it at the track.

It's an outstanding street converter and is awesome from a roll.

Also, as already stated, with drag radials you can cut consistent 1.70s and occasional 1.60s with it at the drag strip.

P.S.- This converter loves 3.73 gears. You may want to consider a gear change in the future.
