Default Th400

Hey guys, I have a 98 TA with all bolt ons and 113000 miles. I have been wanting to do something to my car and I was thinking of switching from a 4L60E to a TH400 because Im scared of trying to beef up my 4L60e at this high of mileage. How hard is it to switch yourself and would I see good gains with a 3500 stall and 3.73 gears?

Default of course

if your trans and rear end are stock.... then you'd definately see a gain w/ the 400 matched w/ a 3500 stall and 3.73 gears. it depends on where you want to go w/ the car... if you're going to build the car as much as you can, then you can't go wrong w/ a 400. if you were going to keep it mostly just bolt ons, maybe h/c... and still want to drive it a lot, then i'd have the 4l60e rebuilt w/ all the best parts.

the major mods i have are in my sig. and i went to the th400 and a vig.3200 and i love it. the rpms are kind of high on the highway (3000-3400 w/3.23's) and i drive hard and im lucky if i get 10 mpg. but i love it. the only thing i'd do different is go with a 3800+ stall converter.
with 3200 and 3.23' I noticed a hugh difference so with a 3500 and 3.73 i think youll be happy you did it
