In my opinion a TC is one of the best mods for an A4 car. If you are willing to do some harmless “track only” weight reduction then you will run an 11 with the 3500 stall.

Spare tire and jack -~35
Back seats -~25
Rear seat divider -~7
After market torque converter -~10
Run with a ¼ tank of fuel -~32 from ½ tank
Miscellaneous crap in the car - ~10

Total = 87lbs weight reduction without trying!

These items are easily removed and will make a difference in your 60’ and ET.

Tempting thought, but the $$ & time involved .... plus I would then need headers .... Did you ever run that 216 cam with stock manifolds/cats?

I already do the spare & jack & 1/4 tank reductions. What would be ideal for both the car & me would be for me to cut the donuts out of my diet & lose 50 pounds, LOL! I was thinking removing the front sway bar and temporarily removing the catback might shed a significant amount off too. Thanks for the advice!

"Track Only"? Hell, that's how I roll John.

I dropped 81 lbs recently with all of the following:
-! Rear Seats, Seatbelts and Brackets
-! Sway Bar
-! Spare Tire and Jack
-! Rear Floor Mats

And I have been known to take out the Pass. seat for the track. Can't leave it out because of the fiance.

No I did not run that cam with stock exhaust, It is considered small compared to all the other cams on the market but it did get the job done ..

John
VERY good Jnorris. Last night my best run was:

60': 1.641, 1/8: 7.610 @ 91.11, 1/4: 11.954 @ 112.74

I feel there was more in it, especially mph wise, if I could get more air in the tires and still hook. I will be back again on friday.
