Default a5 or a6?

Has there ever been any talkm about putting a 5 or 6 speed auto in an F-body? I know there aren't many of this type of transmission made by GM but just wanted to know what people thought and if there are ever going to be any possibilities.

I have heard people talk about it but I dont think there is a way to do it. I know that there is a company (cant remember the name) that can add (2x) gears to any tranny...I think. I will look around on my comp and see if I can find tha name for ya

The cadillac xlr has a 5speed automatic. I'm sure it wouldnt be a direct bolt on but what are realistic thoughts on something like that being found on an f-body?

Probably not going to be an easy way to do this anytime soon, i'd imagine. What if GM looked into putting an a5 or a6 into a new ls2 car? Would yield any compatibility to an f-body?

I think software interface would be a big problem. I doubt any of our ECMs can control it. I doubt that even something like a TCI tranny controller would either.
