Tranny recommendations

Tranny recommendations OK, the 700r4 that I put behind my L98 in my pickup is pretty much toasted, it slips in gear, won't down shift to first at a stop, and all sorts of things.
It's an 86 out of a Astro, so I've been told that 86 and older are no good anyways.
So I'm thinking of just buying a new one. Is a TCI brand 700r4 a good one to go with? Any others that I should look at?

derek search "rock on transmision" on this board.a bunch of guys are very happy and priced pretty darn well. there is a contact number somewhere. give them a call. i know of atleast one guy running close to 9s on a 4L60e
