Default Shifting problems in a a4

I went to the drag strip last night for the first time in 2 years to see how much the new cam helped and every time it would hit the rev limiter going to 2nd and 3rd, but on the street it dont do it. Ive had it tuned and I always leave it in over drive. I was on street tires babying it out the hole. Any ideas whats wrong? mods in sig

Could be a few things.
Maybe you need tuned, to adjust shift points.
Maybe you need your limiter set higher.
Maybe you were just spinning like crazy on street tires.
Maybe you need to change your fluid and filter.

Here's another possibility, if you used a taller then stock size tire at the track, and didnt adjust for it in your computer then it would throw your speedo off, and you'd be hitting the rev limiter.

I have it adjusted for the gear and tire. My rev limiter set at 6,600rpm and it shifts at 6,200 in 1st and 6,400 in 2nd. On the first pass when it spun like a bat out of hell it didnt do it, but when I would ease in it is when it happens. 1st pass 3.074 60ft. 2nd pass 2.195 60ft. 3rd pass 2.175 60ft. Its almost like Im out running the rpm tack, thats sounds dumb though. Thanks for the advise guys.
