Question when all will a stall help me?

i have 2.73 gears and i was thinking about putting a 3500 TC in my car. will it just help my takeoff or will it help me from a roll too? how much do you think it will help my 1/8 mile times? im running pacesetter LT's , catted Y, cai and my car is a 98.

It should give you about .5 sec off your 1/4 mile time if you have a decent tire give or take alittle. It does help from a roll too, especially around certain rpms and speeds that stock converter a/4 tend to not perform as well.I have a 3500 stall and love it.And even more so now that I'm driving on some et streets around town.Light to light theres not much that would touch me from a dig driving around town.

the stall kills any dead spots you may have.

Any higher stall converter will help your car everywhere. More so on the launch with a stickier tire. Depending how big you go they allow the engine to slip into higher rpms thus giving your more power when you want it. Stock converter on shifts will drop the rpms to 3000 i don't remember, and aftermarket converters will raise that anywhere to 4000 to 5300+.
